Latest Notices and Information
The doctors and staff at Clarence Medical Centre in Rhyl offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases and offer a variety of other medical services including minor surgery and childhood vaccinations.
Face coverings
If experiencing cold or flu symptons, please wear a mask/face covering when attending the surgery.
A mask can also be provided if you don't have one.
We’re pleased to announce that our practice now has two First Contact Physiotherapists available for patient appointments. They are highly trained specialists who can assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal issues as your first point of contact. This means faster access to expert care and more support for your health needs. Also note, you will not require a GP or a Nurse appointment to access this service.
Please speak to our reception team to book an appointment.
Protecting your health and wellbeing is our top priority. This autumn, we’ll once again be running our Flu & COVID vaccination clinics from the 1st of October.
- Patients aged 75 and over will be contacted via the Mass Vaccination Centre.
- All eligible patients under 75 will be sent a self-booking link.
- We are also now taking booking for nasal flu jabs for 2-3 year olds
Alternatively, you can contact the surgery on 01745 350680 and press option 0 to book.
Thank you for supporting us and helping us keep our community healthy this winter.
📢 Important Information: Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) and Oral Contraceptive Pills
If you are taking tirzepatide (Mounjaro) and also use the oral contraceptive pill (OCP), please be aware that tirzepatide can make the pill less effective. This may increase the risk of pregnancy, especially when starting tirzepatide or when the dose is increased.
To stay protected, you should:
- Use additional contraception (such as condoms) for at least 4 weeks after starting tirzepatide, and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.
- Consider a non-oral contraceptive method (e.g. coil, implant, injection) which is not affected in the same way.
If you would like to discuss your contraception options, please book an appointment with our contraception clinic/nurse.
This information is provided as a general patient safety notice. If you are taking tirzepatide (whether prescribed by us or elsewhere) and are also on the pill, please make sure you are aware of these precautions.
